RogueOnes Collab Mixtape “Rogue Tapes” Seeing Early Local Success

Rogue Tapes by RogueOnes Official Artwork

RogueOnes is a loose collective of rappers and singers based out of NE Ohio. There is no definitive “members list” since their focus is to feature many artists and showcase the undeniable talent in the area. With that being said, Rogue Tapes has obvious roots in All Circles Media's Sponsored Artists. The group was founded by All Circles Media producer and MC Charlee Parker.

January 1, 2024 marked not only the start of a new year, but also the start of a fresh musical journey for RogueOnes; a collection of talented musical artists from Canton, OH. RogueOnes released Rogue Tapes on all platforms to a resounding digital fanfare to start the year. With the help of successful singles “Big Shot” and “Dilly Wonka”, RogueOnes secured a busy performance schedule for 2024.

Consisting of songs by Charlee Parker, Master Puff, Twoside, Sh4nk7in, Lil’ Bones, Tyler Watkins, and Chief2x, Rogue Tapes brings a whole lot to the table. From catchy hooks by Tyler Watkins to chopper-like cadences from Master Puff and Sh4nk7in, RogueOnes delivered a well-rounded hip-hop project. Each track highlights the different styles brought by each artist.

  1. Back on Rogue (feat. Charlee Parker, Tyler Watkins, Sh4nk7in, Master Puff & Twoside)

The first song on the tape features a smooth, lo-fi inspired beat produced by Charlee Parker. Back on Rogue is a subtle, yet strong way to start the tape. A plethora of talented rappers bless this track like Usain Bolt in the 100m. Reels and Tik Toks made for this song have been viewed nearly 50,000 times.

Three words to describe Back on Rogue:

Smooth, Confident, Catchy

2. Big Shot (feat. Master Puff, Tyler Watkins, Sh4nk7in & Twoside)

Big Shot is a bass-heavy, word-play driven track featuring four All Circles Media sponsored artists. Tyler Watkins delivers a super-catchy hook while Shank, Master Puff, and Twoside bring their own unique flair to the verses. This has been the most successful single from Rogue Tapes, hitting 12k streams before the full release.

Three words to describe Big Shot:

Bass-y, Boastful, Upbeat

3. Triplettes (feat. Sh4nk7in, Twoside & Tyler Watkins)

You may have picked this up already, but Triplettes features three talented rappers: Sh4nk7in, Tyler Watkins, & Twoside. Instrumentally, it’s a break from the boom-y-ness of the first two tracks. It reminds me of a lazy river. It’s smooth and I’ll always enjoy it.

Three words to describe Triplettes:

Misspelled, Chill, Easy

4. Dilly Wonka (feat. Twoside & Master Puff)

Dilly Wonka is the product of the geniuses; rapper Twoside and producer Andrew West. Whimsical in nature, the beat dares to bend the rules of hip-hop production while staying true to modern traditionalism. Master Puff kicks off with a bang. Wordplay, a marching-band-snare-like flow, and unbelievable sex-appeal (I’m totally not writing about myself) combined with Twoside’s vocal skills and delivery, puts this song at #2 in terms of total streams from the mixtape.

Three words to describe Dilly Wonka:

Whimsical, Intriguing, HARD (AF)

5. I D EVEN K (feat. Charlee Parker, Sh4nk7in, Tyler Watkins & Twoside)

This is my personal favorite from Rogue Tapes. The guys really brought the heat for this one. The instrumental and the hook compliment each other perfectly and each verse is valid lyrically and phonetically. I D EVEN K has all the makings of a hit song. With the right promotion, I think it could blow up.

Three words to describe I D EVEN K:

Good, Great, Fantastic

6. Diamonds (feat. Master Puff, Charlee Parker, Lil' Bones & Chief2x)

Lil’ Bones and Chief2x bless Rogue Tapes with their features on Diamonds. Master Puff and Charlee Parker are mainstays at All Circles Media, but Bones and Chiefx2 added a nice switch-up.

Three words to describe Diamonds:

Trap, Diverse, 808

7. Hit Up (feat. Twoside, Sh4nk7in, Tyler Watkins, Master Puff & Charlee Parker)

There’s not enough room on the internet for the good things I could say about this song. It’s a fitting end to a solid project. Each artist broight their A-game to Rogue Tapes and “Hit Up” is no exception. A catchy string lead compliments a full instrumental and the bars are insane. There is a music video out now! Check it out above!

Three words to describe Hit Up:

Classy, Swangin’, Meloncholy
